Nationally recognized as a leader in community medicine (family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics), GLFHC has clinical sites throughout the service area and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program

GLFHC is looking for a M365 SharePoint Administrator to join our IS Team. This position facilitates secure and efficient collaboration, communication, and document management within the health centers M365 platform. Ensuring the effective and secure collaboration and document management within GLFHC's M365 platform. In this role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between various departments within our organization to understand their unique needs and provide innovative solutions using office collaboration tools. This role will be crucial in configuring, securing, managing, and optimizing these platforms to enhance/improve productivity, communication, and collaboration across the organization.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Configure and maintain Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online settings, ensuring alignment with healthcare industry compliance standards.
  • Day-to-day overall operation of the Microsoft SharePoint environment, including but not limited to:
    • Site and sub-site creation and maintenance.
    • Setup and maintenance of SharePoint specific permission groups.
    • Assist staff with day-to-day issues.
  • Creation of video trainings for SharePoint and Teams.
  • Implement and manage user access controls, permissions, and security settings to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Provide technical support and issue resolution for Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online, addressing the specific needs of the organization.
  • Collaborate with administrative teams to understand needs and recommend solutions to optimize collaboration tools and operational workflows.
  • Customize SharePoint sites and Teams channels to meet the unique collaboration and document management needs of GLFHC.
  • Integrate Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online with organizational applications to streamline workflows.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for best practices, guidelines, and policies related to Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory and data protection standards.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Implement strategies to optimize the performance of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online while maintaining data integrity.
  • Plan and execute platform upgrades and patches in coordination with the IT team, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Stay informed about the latest updates and features in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online.
  • Ensure the highest standards of security for data within Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with regulations (such as HIPAA) and internal security policies.
  • Enhance workflows through effective customization and integration of collaboration tools.
  • Measure improvements in efficiency and communication within the platform.
  • Collaborate with IS Administrator and IS Management to develop new departmental policies in order to keep policies current and up to date with changing computing environment and compliance as it relates to M365 platform.
  • Collaborate with IS Administrator and IS Management in the development, maintenance, and execution of disaster recovery policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain functionality of other office technology as requested by IS Management.

  • Assist in installation, training, and support of any and all software used by employees of the health center.
  • Represent the departments and the entire organization in a positive and professional manner.
  • Work at building and maintaining a good rapport and cooperative working environment with health center staff and administration.
  • On a regular basis participate in ongoing quality improvement activities related to individual, team, and organizational performance improvement.
  • Travel between sites will be required.
Qualifications: Experience
  • 3+ years' experience administrating SharePoint/Teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft server environments, Active Directory and ongoing maintenance
  • Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies as well as a practical knowledge of Networks.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience in a technical or business environment.
  • Relevant certifications in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint administration desirable.
  • Healthcare IT certifications are a plus.
