Our team is seeking a Loan Servicing Group Manager for the Ames, Iowa office location.
- This position will be responsible for post-closing loan servicing including customer service, loan accounting, reporting, collateral tracking, collateral management, collections and Central Servicing requirements.
- This position will report to the ZAF Division Manager and work closely with internal staff such as Credit/Underwriting Manager, Underwriters, Credit Analysts and Documentation staff as well as external groups such as Enterprise Loan Operations (ELO), external funding sources, Seller/Correspondent relationships and borrowers.
- Ensures loan servicing activities are processed in accordance with investor guidelines and policy.
- This individual must operate with a high degree of care and skill consistent with banking standards and in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
- The Loan Servicing Manager must present a professional image and provide service which exceeds client expectations.
- Manage group of Loan Accounting, Loan Servicing and Lender Relations staff
- Provide support and guidance to Loan Accounting, Loan Servicing and Lender Relations staff
- Work with ELO to accurately provide loan details to process loan accounting, settlement, billing, and payoff request activity
- Communicate and submit monthly/quarterly reporting to management, Zions Bank and investor funding sources
- Manage other accounting detail such as department expenses, origination fees, and Seller/Correspondent payments
- Direct and manage Central Servicing responsibilities such as Seller loan origination review to final document receipt
- Administer loan servicing action processes with seller banks and correspondents for requests such as partial releases, subordinations/easements, loan modifications, collections, bankruptcies and foreclosures in accordance with investor guidelines
- Monitor and engage in development of loan collection strategies and delinquency action plans
- Ensure appropriate documentation retained to support complete analysis and execution of all servicing actions and requests
- Manage Annual Seller Servicing reporting and monitoring process
- Assists in creation, maintenance and annual review of servicing related policies, processes procedures, and facilitate any audit and control testing responsibilities required for the business unit
- Direct collateral management programs to monitor insurance, property taxes, UCC's, loan advances and docs required
- Support and manage department initiative to move to FileNet file imaging
- Responsible for periodic loan servicing internal/compliance/investor audit reviews
- Assist with other internal and external audit reviews within the business unit
- Provide direction for group IT needs working closely with and adhering to enterprise and investor requirements
- Assist as needed with ZWAY system coordination and development
- Manage staff human resources needs and system access needs working closely with bank and enterprise partners
- Ensure adherence to Reg AB minimum servicing requirements
- Establish and maintain good relationships with funding sources including underwriters and staff
- Reviews, analyzes, evaluates, and prepares periodic reports for management
- Develops resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity
- Requires college degree or equivalent experience within an agricultural or commercial loan environment or other directly related experience
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills with an ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be a self-starter. Work with little or no supervision
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Tact, diplomacy, and good judgment required at all times
- Proven customer service skills and effective team skills
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office products (outlook, Excel, Word, Access, Etc.) and other industry-specific applications including loan origination, closing, and servicing systems
