Position Overview:
La Sierra University is seeking responsible and authoritative students to fill the position of Crowd Control for the 2024 graduation ceremony. As a Crowd Control, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe flow of attendees during this significant event. This position requires individuals who can effectively enforce instructions and maintain order in a large crowd setting.
Responsibilities:
•Maintain a visible and authoritative presence at designated entrances, exits to the stage, and high-traffic areas throughout the graduation venue.
•Enforce event policies and guidelines to ensure the safety and security of all attendees.
•Direct attendees to their designated seating areas and assist with crowd management as needed.
•Monitor crowd behavior and promptly address any disruptive or unruly conduct in a professional manner.
•Collaborate with event staff, security personnel, and law enforcement, if necessary, to resolve any issues or emergencies that may arise.
•Remain vigilant and alert to potential safety hazards or security threats, reporting any concerns to the appropriate authorities.
•Communicate effectively with fellow Crowd Control and event organizers to coordinate efforts and maintain a cohesive approach to crowd management.
Qualifications:
•Currently enrolled as a student at La Sierra University.
•Demonstrated sense of authority and ability to command respect from others.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
•Previous experience in crowd control, event security, or a related field is preferred but not required.
•Reliable and punctual with a commitment to fulfilling assigned shifts.
•Must be willing to work June 16th and an orientation date during June 10-14th.
Pay Rate:
Hourly rate of 16.00/hr
