JOB DESCRIPTION:

Review equipment, functions, and methodologies in the Chemical Maintenance Department for potential improvements and upgrades in technology Plan, approve, and manage projects that address increasing efficiency while ensuring that all local, state and federal guidelines are observed Function as technical advisor to Operations and Maintenance Perform project oversight activities in the chemical plants Prepare engineering reports in response to requests submitted by other departments including proposed project scope of work, technical and economic evaluations, system and component specifications, engineering sketches and drawings, project schedules and cost estimates, and safety and environmental impact

evaluations/recommendations. Project management responsibility associated with capital projects, including design, specifications, preparation, purchase requisitions, bid analysis, direct construction activities, participate in start-up, direct contract engineering services, cost control, schedule control and reporting Direct emergency maintenance jobs, as assigned Initiate purchase requisitions for approved capital projects, selects contractors, equipment and materials; approves related invoices on purchase orders Prepare project designs

specifications/drawings,

using engineering principles, standards, codes and experience Plan, schedule, supervise/inspect and correct deficiencies for design and construction activities related to approved projects Field construction problem-solving, including scheduling with Operations, Maintenance, Purchasing, Environmental, Safety and contractor forces to ensure that resources are available for shut-downs requiring continuous work effort, with optimum efficiency and solve unforeseen problems arising during a project effort QUALIFICATIONS:

BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required with 3+ years industrial plant maintenance and/or reliability engineering experience 1 to 2 years Vibration Analysis and Lubrication program experience or documented training PE-Professional Engineer technical certification is preferred Project management experience is preferred Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent organizational, planning and verbal/written communication skills Self-motivated and goal-oriented individual with proven success working independently and in a multi-functional team environment Proficient use of MS Office Suite of software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Experience in a leadership role; temporary or interim assignment acceptable Well rounded field experience applying maintenance engineering principals to mechanical repair work for a variety of typical process plant equipment Knowledge of mechanical machinery design, selection, repair techniques and performance assessment Knowledge of engineering materials chemical compatibility and application as relates to plant equipment reliability Hands-on experience using CMMS work management system Practical experience facilitating Root Cause Failure Analysis and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis utilizing a selection of industry standard tools Working knowledge of drafting and project planning software (e.g. AutoCAD, Visio, MS Project, Primavera,) Turbo machinery expertise, with ownership of turbo machinery

inspection/overhaul

program. Knowledge of the Bently Nevada vibration monitoring systems or equivalent. Vibration analysis program ownership. Lubrication program ownership. Ability to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future. #J-18808-Ljbffr
