SCOPE OF POSITION The Director, Operations & Contracting - BHMA provides management and professional support acrossBallad HealthMedical Groups focusing on planning, performance management, operational efficiency, physician relations, policy management, risk management and organizational development.The position will require knowledge of a vast array of medical group functions, including, but not limited to, strategic planning, finance, applicable laws and regulations, business development and operations. With theBallad Medical Groupsand facility executive management team, the Director, Operations & Contractingworks to support the strategic plans, identify opportunities, and provide developmental training and support to the clinics. The Director will analyze and recommend changes in policies and procedures and ensure implementation. This individual will provideassistance to senior management in development and implementing specific programs, products and services. The Director will serve ascorporate compliance officer and risk manager for BHMA, as well as the businessowner for Crimson Medical Group Advantage tool. The Director will coordinatethe establishment of new practices and relocations. This individual will createstructure and processes to manage the organization’s current activities and projected growth. In addition, this individual will manageHospital-Physician Alignment Committee process and participate inthe coordination of management services provided to various clients, provider recruitment, physician employment, and development of compensation strategies as directed by the CEO/COO of BHMA. TheDirectorwill be responsible foronboarding new providers, including, but not limited to, coordinating hospital privileges, enrollment process for provider numbers, orientation to Ballad Medical Groups and initiating letters of intent to providers including compensation model. The Directorwill workwith the legal department to develop provider contracts and is responsible forongoing contract management. This individual will workwith CEO, COO, AVPs of Operations and facility leadership to identify areas of opportunity within the clinics. The Director will provideexpertise and vision with respect to planning and establishing goals and objectives to improve clinic performance. This individual will also coordinate and overseedevelopment of action plans for identified areas of opportunity. This individual will also providesupport to CEO/COO for special projects. The Director will determine financialviability of identified opportunities and have oversight of process improvement efforts. In addition, the Director will assistCEO/COO with operating budget assumptions and work closely with CEO/COO to strive to meet strategic initiatives. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP See Table of Organization. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or other related field and 5 years of solid operations experience is required.Master’s Degree (MBA, MPH, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills are essential to the position. The incumbent must possess the ability to relate to individuals and groups at all socioeconomic and education levels.The incumbent will be required to update technical, managerial and leadership skills through continuing education and active membership in appropriate professional organizations throughout tenure in this position.
