Certified Dental Assistant-Oral SurgeryPay $28-32hrDuration 3-6 months +Location NY, NY 10010 Start Date: As soon as possible once medically cleared.Our client is seeking a Dental Assistant for their Oral Surgery Department. The schedule for this position is Mon.-Fri. (8am-4pm or 9am-5pm or 10-6) 35 hours per weekSummary job description:Provide oral surgical assistance to dental residents and students. Assist in the administration of IV sedation and patient monitoring during surgical procedures. Perform tests; assist with preparing dental castings, dispensing medications and instructions, and performing minor dental and surgical procedures; ensure safe use, disposal, and storage of chemicals or hazardous materials.Required Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities:2+ years of related experience. Graduate of a Dental Assistant Training Program Knowledge of four-handed chairside dental techniques and dental lab equipment, 1-2 years of related experience including oral surgery experience with IV sedation/general anesthesia. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Preferred: Certification as a Dental Assistant.
