**Summary:**

****Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following**:**

* Follows recipes to ensure food production meets required time schedules.

* Assists in cleaning functions in order to keep work area clean and maintained in a safe and sanitary manner.

* Ensures that food is stored, marked, dated and covered correctly following FIFO methods.

* Adheres to all facility rules and regulations to promote a safe environment for residents and staff. Insures that kitchen is maintained in a safe and sanitary manner.

* Performs all duties in keeping with the mission statement of The Village and Freedom Properties.

* Other duties, assignments and/or special projects as required may be assigned that relate to the service of our residents to daily dietary department operations

**Requirements:**

Experience as a cook required

Food handlers card must be obtained 1 week after employment
