About this role
Responsible for managing the Institute's scholarship and awards program. Oversees the application process and verification of financial documents by utilizing various data systems. Works as a liaison with contractor who supplies financial awards. This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is dependent upon grant funding.

Minimum Base Pay: $51,197.00. All salary calculations start at the minimum salary and will be based on candidate's education and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Guides, leads, reviews, verifies, observes, and manages the work of people reporting directly and indirectly to you.
  • Monitors and assists in the preparation of reports to include goals, objectives, outcomes, deliverables, and all other contract terms, to include students and deliverables.
  • Administers federal, state, and local scholarships, loans, and grant programs.
  • Clarifies, monitors, and enforces program guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Reviews payment authorizations and documentation prior to payment. Includes verification of support materials, and processing and coordinating various payment methods.
  • Works closely with other college departments on scholarship distributions. Provides monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information for budget analysis.
  • Maintains schedule of deadlines to ensure tasks are done in a timely efficient manner.
  • Works directly with students applying for scholarships and awards. Updates processes, ensures accuracy and determines eligibility for financial awards.
  • Evaluates, assesses, and implements projects to effectively communicate agency's programs and services.
  • Develops a productive team environment and encourages a student focused environment.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Business, Finance or related field
  • Four years of related experience
Knowledge of:
  • ERP and computerized database records management systems
  • Web-Based Data Learning System
  • Workday
  • Eventbrite
  • Education and Scholarship Registry system
  • Policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the position
  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar application
Skilled in:
  • Delivering a high level of customer service
  • Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
  • Research and data analysis to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations and plans of action
  • Problem solving
  • Motivating employees to apply the effort necessary to attain organizational and departmental goals
Ability to:
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service
  • Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
  • Accurately manage a budget
Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
  • Regular physical attendance required
  • Valid Florida drivers license

  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Business, Finance, or related field
