ROLE: This position ensures the successful completion of assigned SOX audits, from start to finish, inclusive of pre-planning, detailed testing and wrap up activities. Depending on assigned engagement, reports to one or more member(s) of the Internal Audit management team.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Staff Internal Auditor

  • Conducts assigned SOX audits successfully from beginning to end.
  • Identifies and communicates issues or deficiencies encountered to appropriate Internal Audit management.
  • Ensures audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of the process, circumstances, and risk.
  • Obtains and reviews evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well-documented.
  • Ensures adherence at all times to all applicable company, department and professional standards.
Requirements

Education: Staff Internal Auditor
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited College or University required.
Experience: Staff Internal Auditor
  • At least 2+ years of relevant experience.
Skills: Staff Internal Auditor
  • Working knowledge of basic Microsoft Suite Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills; high attention to detail required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and interpret bar graphs.
  • Knowledge of financial statements and Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Staff Internal Auditor
  • CPA and/or CIA required.
