Senior Fund Accountant

LHH is working with a client in Fort Worth that is looking to add a Senior Fund Accountant to their team. Our client is a very fast-paced organization, and they are only looking for the best talent. This is a new position that is open because the company has experienced significant growth recently. This is a work-hard-play-hard environment, and our client offers excellent total compensation packages. The ideal candidate for this role has previous fund accounting experience in industry or public accounting experience auditing clients that operate in a fund accounting environment.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain the books and records of several private equity funds including general accounting responsibilities, maintenance of the general ledger, initiating cash movements, maintenance of partnership databases, and understanding and recording investment activity
Complete accurate and timely trial balance and financial statement close within deadlines
Understand and research partnership agreement language to determine appropriate accounting treatments
Prepare and issue capital calls and distributions in coordination with manager and deal team
Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
Assist in the collection of appropriate investment support for investment purchases and realizations
Understand assigned entities and related structures to ensure activity is recorded appropriately
Work directly with external auditors to ensure the timely completion of annual audits
Anticipate and research technical accounting issues and coordinate with manager on emerging issues
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, accounting or finance
2+ years of experience in fund accounting
Investran experience preferred
