Summary Manages groups of production employees in order to meet goals in a timely manner by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Examines trays of plants to ensure quality products are being produced.
- Maintains product supply for production workers.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Maintains time and production records. Performs activities of workers supervised.
- Trains new employees and upcoming leaders.
Aids in supervising 4-20 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and culture. Responsibilities include training employees; assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to speak Spanish preferred
- Manufacturing plants in processing department
- Basic computer skills and ability to use handheld scanner
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to motivate and inspire excellence in others
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
