**Description**

**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**

* Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.

* Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.

* Work with location operations, Corporate Purchasing and Corporate Product teams to identify and address vendor product quality, performance, or service issues.

* Review requisition orders in order to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.

* Track the status of requisitions, and orders.

* Compare suppliers' bills with bids and purchase orders in order to verify accuracy.

* Monitor vendor performance, recommending contract modifications when necessary.

* Purchase product based on purchasing reports. Must be able to understand report data and identify anomalies. Report anomalies and provide suggestions for correction or improvement to management team for resolution

* Develop an understanding of the product and where and how the components are used.

* Review reports to identify incorrect items, quantities, etc. and take the proper actions to correct the variances.

* Position requires on floor representation; in person interaction with warehouse, receiving, shipping and production personnel.

* Analyze source of material (inter-company vs vendor)

* Make sourcing recommendations and decisions based on inventory demands

* Other duties as assigned.

**SKILLS & ABILITIES**

**Education:** College experience, prefer Associate or Bachelors degree in Business or Supply Chain

**Experience:** Three to six years related experience

**Computer Skills:** MS Office, e-mail, internet savvy, Warehouse Management Systems, ERP Systems (Woodware preferred)
