Laurel School District Qualifications
  1. High School Diploma or GED required; college level coursework preferred.
  2. Must have a current State of Delaware Registered Nurse license.
  3. Performs general nursing work, including givingm edications, inputting information in the computer, and writing accident reports.
  4. Applicant must demonstrate a level of knowledge and/or experience appropriate to the position.
  5. Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of students, staff, parents, and community members in a professional manner.
  6. Ability to follow oral and written instructions with limited supervision.
  7. Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in a school environment.
  8. Ability to effectively communicate in English (read, write, speak). Bi-lingual substitute candidates desired.
  9. Ability to demonstrate the following core values: integrity, high expectations, commitment, respect, dedication to teamwork and passion for student centered environment.
  10. Ability to perform the following actions with full range of motion and manual dexterity: bending, moderate lifting, twisting, carrying and moving objects, and reaching.

Rates:
As per State compensation guidelines: $21.333333 per hour up to 29 hours/week; exclusive of long term assignments.
Specific work times will be determined based on school assignment
