Sustainability Specialist

As a Sustainability Specialist, you will join a highly creative, collaborative team dedicated to incorporating ESG goals, strategies, and actions to support Halmar International LLC. in its sustainability journey. You will be involved with different aspects of developing, implementing, and monitoring company-wide sustainability goals/strategies in compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Support in the preparation of corporate sustainability plans, reports, and presentations related to the Environment, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) actions.
Assist in the preparation of sustainability-related company training.
Assist in developing sustainable procurement practices and the supplier due diligence criteria for the selection of a sustainable supply chain.
Assist in the collection of company-wide data and measurement to monitor and track sustainability activities for the yearly Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) reporting to Halmars parent company in Europe.
Assist in implementing strategies aiming to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Scope 1, 2 & Scope 3 related to the Companys operations.
Assist the sustainability team with ENVISION goals and certification.
Lead and develop Halmar Green team projects.
Assist in disseminating the sustainability culture within the Company by preparing educational/informative material for newsletters and intranet.
Assist in administering day-to-day activities related to the sustainability function as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Detail-oriented, result-oriented, and highly organized, with proven experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
Oversee and lead tasks, ensuring it is completed on time.
