Cloudburst's team of passion-driven difference-makers works to unearth root causes and structural and institutional barriers that help communities and governments address development challenges.We offer a robust benefits program to full-time, part-time, and intermittent employees based on their eligibility, which includes 120 hours of paid time off, 11 paid holidays, health insurance, life insurance, retirement savings, flexible spending accounts, and voluntary supplemental benefits.The expected compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 yearly payable on a semi-monthly basis.Cloudburst is looking to enhance its grants management capabilities within an existing team focused on enhancing data-driven decision-making on a large portfolio of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)'s Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD) programs. The Grants Management Specialist will be responsible for supporting the full life cycle of grant programs from application to compliance and reporting. The ideal candidate will be familiar with HUD grants management processes, have previous experience with HUD CPP grants and CPD grants management systems, and have experience in documenting policies, procedures, and reporting. The Grants Management Specialist will perform desk research, data entry, analysis, development, and review of program plans and procedures. Responsibilities Organize and maintain critical grants files and project documents to support effective grants management and administration by Government Points of Contact Review and document grants management protocols to include but not be limited to policies, procedures, checklists, and/other documentation Provide support to Government clients in achieving effective grants management oversight and financial and performance monitoring Participate as an active team member in supporting various data validation and analysis projects, including data entry and review, data clean-up, and preparation of project documentation.Troubleshoot and assist in resolving grant issues; notify team members of issues.Prepare analytic reports for HUD and grant recipients and respond to other ad-hoc requests. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, or related field with 3-5 years of experience; OR Master's degree with 1-2 years of related work experience.Ability to pass a federal background check.Experience with federal grants management. Familiarity with the design and operation of analysis and reporting systems for federal grants using commercial off-the-shelf software such as Microsoft Office, SQL Server, or Microsoft PowerBI.Experience analyzing data from federal grant reporting for compliance and risk assessment.Flexibility, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently as a team player is required.Experience in technical writing, or writing up quantitative analyses.Solid attention to detail.Willingness to collaborate and work in remote team settings is required.Company InformationCloudburst looks for opportunities where public- and private-sector partnerships can be leveraged; where investments can best meet a need or drive change; and where innovation can advance social, economic, and environmental resilience.
