Array Labs is building a distributed radar imaging constellation to power the first accurate, real-time 3D map of the world.As a radar engineer on the hardware design team, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the design of the first orbital MIMO radar imaging system. In this critical role, you will be collaborating with silicon, antenna, software, and other engineering teams to create cutting-edge hardware, rapidly advancing designs from clean sheets of paper to operational deployment in space.Responsibilities:System-level design to support a novel satellite communication and radar imaging systemWork closely with ASIC/FPGA, RF/antenna, and software engineers to design and validate high-performance radar imaging and digital communication systemsDevelop floating-point and fixed-point models and build simulations to analyze system level performanceGenerate bit-accurate and cycle-accurate vector models to support RTL design verificationCreate spacecraft hardware requirements, specifications, and test proceduresDevelop and implement test plans for hardware verification and validation>Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or related fieldExperience in system-level modeling and digital signal processingExcellent teamwork and communication skillsLearns new concepts rapidly, completely, and in a self-directed mannerHigh levels of self-motivation and personal accountabilityAbility to work in a fast-paced environment under significant time constraintsProficient in MATLAB, C/C++, and/or Python>Preferred Skills and Experience:Master's degree in electrical engineering with emphasis in radar image formation and/or digital signal processing2+ years of experience in system-level radar modeling2+ years of experience in working on Synthetic Aperture Radar image formation techniques such as backprojection or polar-format algorithm2+ years of experience in design and verification of beamforming radar or communications systemsExperience with radar waveforms and pulse-encoding schemes, including LFM chirp, pseudo-noise waveforms, and low-autocorrelation or LPI techniquesExperience designing and implementing imaging modes and algorithmsExperience creating detailed system-level simulators for performance analysisExperience performing system link budget analysis for radar imaging performance predictionKnowledge of transmitter and receiver design, algorithms, and hardware architecturesKnowledge of FPGA and ASIC development concepts, methodologies, and proceduresExperience working in a lab and using laboratory test equipment>ITAR Requirements:To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.>Equal Opportunity EmployerArray Labs is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
