Position Summary:
Purchasing Manageris responsible for compiling information and records to createpurchase orders for procurement of materials based on sales team request by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities:

•Perform buying duties when necessary.
•Prepare purchase orders and sendcopies to suppliers and to sales employees originating request.
•Compare bills with bids and purchaseorders to verify accuracy.
•Prepare, maintain and reviewpurchasing files, reports and price lists.
•Verify shipments arrive correctly andthat order meets specifications.
•Develop and construct cooperativerelationships with customers, vendors, employees.
•Judgement and decision-makingabilities with consideration to relative costs and benefits of product ordersor vender selection.
•Analyzing demand patterns andforecasting future needs to avoid shortages or excesses.
•Maintain records of businesstransactions and product inventories, reporting data as requested by company.
•Developing and implementing strategiesto optimize costs, maintain quality, and reduce supply chain risks.
•All other duties as assigned bysupervision.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in related field or threeto five years' work experience in similar field and/or industry.
Excellent communication skills.
•Experience with budget management.
•Experience in negotiating with suppliers.
A valid Driver'sLicense is required for this position.
