Our property is growing rapidly and we are looking for a night auditor who loves working with people, possesses a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, and has bookkeeping experience

The Night Auditor maximizes revenue and creates value by providing excellent customer service. This includes effective reservation sales, handling all guest accounts efficiently and accurately, and assisting in all phases of guest experience such as check-in, check-out, and problem resolution. Additionally, they complete nightly reports and audits and act as the "Manager on Duty" in the absence of a regular Manager.

This employee must display effective listening and communication skills, initiative, ability to work independently and in teams, and lead by example. He/she must be able to exercise good judgment and discretion, display effective problem-solving skills, and provide excellent customer service. Additionally, he/she must have the ability to multi-task, maintain composure under pressure, and display a high level of professionalism, integrity, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

•Maintain records of routine accounting transactions; assist in the preparation of financial and operational reports including trial balances, adjustments and closing entries; may assist in analysis and interpretation of accounting records for use by management
•Act as night manager in the absence of the manager on duty; (ability to work unsupervised)
•Some food-related preparation for Breakfast service may be required
•Execute front desk clerk duties as required, such as processing reservations and check-ins, delegating housekeeping, security, and service requests, responding to guest inquiries, and resolving guest complaints as needed
•Perform additional bookkeeping, administrative, and accounting procedures as required
•Provide exceptional service to all hotel guests during their stay
•Verify, audit, and reconcile all financial records such as room charges, cash drawer activity, credit card transactions, final bill preparation, room charges, and occupancy percentages

Qualifications

•Outstanding communication skills and excellent customer service skills are required
•Requires a flexible schedule that allows for overnight shift hours
•Computer proficiency is required; experience with accounting or reservation software is preferred
•Diploma or equivalent from high school is required; some college is desired
•Previous hotel front desk, hospitality, guest services, or night audit experience is preferred, but not required
