**Overview:**

Environmental Service Techs are responsible for basic cleaning functions in all areas providing a sanitary and aesthetically pleasing environment. These areas include but not limited to: patient rooms, bathrooms, treatment rooms, conference rooms, elevators, stairwells, corridors, office areas and lobbys. Additional responsibilities may include the movement of patient room furniture, hanging of curtains and drapes, the removal of spots and stains from carpet, buffing of floors utilizing high speed A.C. powered equipment and other assigned duties related to the Evironmental Services Department. Performs the duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values and Mercy Service Standards.

**Qualifications:**

* **Experience:** Sanitation, Cleaning or Detail work experience in an institutional (school, hospital or hospitality) setting is preferred.

* **Preferred Education:** High school diploma or equivalent.

* **Other:** Solid written and oral communication skills. Customer Service oriented.
