Also responsible for continuous improvement of tooling, housekeeping, making informed decisions, and having tooling ready for production runs.Your Responsibilities Know and understand Bowling Green Metalforming Quality and Environmental policies. Follows and supports and Magna's operating principles Tig and Mig weld and hand working parts of die (heat treat of materials) Assist in determining spare parts requirements Maintain accurate documentation Recommend modifications to existing tooling Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes Ensure quality product and know quality procedures Program CNC Machines using offline G-Code software Perform duties according to blueprints, CAD data, sketches and verbal instructions Perform other duties as required.(This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed in this position. Team members will be required to follow any other job related instructions or to perform other job duties requested by their leader)Who we are looking forEducation and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED Post-secondary education preferred, or a minimum of 5 years' experienceKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment Operate standard office equipment preferred General knowledge of troubleshooting, materials and methods, machines and tools, practical application of Engineering Science Die building experience a plus Basic knowledge in automationThese qualifications represent the minimum requirements of the position.
