RESPONSIBILITIES: Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies related to paper mill machinery using hand and power tools. Perform accurate measurements using precision instruments such as micrometers and gauges. Properly use, adjust, maintain, and store mechanical tools, equipment, and machinery. Install and remove bearings and assemblies to OEM standards using power pullers, hydraulic nuts, grease assist systems, flux heaters, and, when necessary, cutting torches. Actively contributes to continuous improvement efforts aimed at reducing turnaround time, improving efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Work collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality, seamless service. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a skilled mechanic with completion of a recognized apprenticeship program. OR Four (4) years of experience as a skilled mechanic. Interpret rough sketches, blueprints, manuals, and verbal instructions to assemble or repair equipment.
