PRN Phlebotomist

DescriptionAuthoraCare Collective is currently seeking a PRN Phlebotomist for our Integrated Health Services (Skilled home-based-care) department. This position will provide support for Forsyth County service areas including any area of High Point, Kernersville, and Winston-Salem.The Phlebotomist works with the Home-based primary and palliative care service line to provide high quality clinical support. Phlebotomist will work directly with LPN patient coordinator to schedule and complete lab draws as required. Will work indirectly with Providers to meet the needs of patient population with regards to lab draws, posting of results and documenting patient encounters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients in a variety of clinical settings, ensuring proper labeling and handling of specimens, and maintaining high standards of patient care. This is a PRN (as needed) position, ideal for someone looking for flexibility in their work schedule. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with the Home-based primary and palliative care service line.RequirementsEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent.Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification preferred.Previous experience in a hospital, clinic, or laboratory setting as a phlebotomist.Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.CPR CertificationOther: Valid state-issued driver's license required. Must carry automobile liability insurance at limits required by agency. Must have own transportation.
