Wages start at $17.00 per hour

Housekeeper/MaintenanceAssistant

You are a key part of the team providing great care to yourResidents and in this is a very important role, you are performing day-to-dayservices ensuring a clean, attractive, and safe place for Residents to live andstaff to work. Your hard work makes a difference.

Every day, you are making a positive impression on your Residents, theirfamilies, and their visitors.

Essential Functions:

The following list of dutiesincludes primary responsibilities, but is not all-inclusive:

  • Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established maintenance policies and procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures
  • Clean windows and screens as directed
  • Replace burned-out light bulks, to include, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, and room call lights, and perform cleaning duties whenever necessary
  • Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed by supervisor
  • Be in an on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and emergencies in conjunction with the maintenance staff at the facility
  • Promotes the facility philosophy of care and mission statement
  • Performs other housekeeping duties as assigned

Housekeeper and Maintenance Education and Experience:
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Maintenance or mechanical experience preferred
  • Prior cleaning or healthcare experience preferred; and we are very happy to train
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs floor to waist; lift 10 lbs waist to shoulder; lift and carry 30 lbs; and push/pull 40 lbs
  • Learn about regulations and guidelines governing environmental services functions in the long-term care facility
