Senior Software Engineer CRM, Artificial Intelligence Location: Chicago, IL Position Summary GEICO is seeking an experienced senior software engineer to build and maintain high?performance, low?latency platforms and applications, driving the transformation of our insurance business and modernizing the platform engineering domain. The role focuses on leading the evolution of our legacy CRM into a scalable, AI?enabled solution that empowers agents via chat, SMS, and email, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Responsibilities Collaborate with product managers, engineers, customers, and cross?functional teams to solve complex problems. Develop and execute technical software development strategies, including self?service, business continuity, backup/restores, incident response, and paging platforms. Own quality, usability, and performance of the solutions. Lead projects and interface regularly with clients and sponsors. Share best practices, improving processes within and across teams. Participate in on?call and operational support. Qualifications Advanced knowledge of at least one modern OOP language (Java, Python, Go preferred). Deep understanding of Dynamics 365, especially customer service and Power Platform. Experience designing, developing, and integrating AI solutions using machine learning and NLP. Hands?on experience with AI?driven development, logic apps, functions, API management, storage, and monitoring. Strong expertise in complex system design, data pipelines, architecture, scale, performance tuning, Docker, and Kubernetes. Experience with Azure services, full?stack development, API gateway and API management. Full?stack integration skills front?end and back?end concepts and communication standards (e.g., gRPC/REST). Knowledge of open?source databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc. Experience architecting, building workflows, and distributed applications. Effective communication; ability to partner with engineering teams and transfer research to production. Agile Scrum experience. Experience 4+ years of professional software development and platform architecture. 3+ years in architecture and design. 3+ years with AWS, GCP, Azure, or hybrid data centers. 2+ years of open?source framework experience. Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education/work experience. Base Pay Range $105,000 $215,000 per year (geographic and experience adjustments applied).
