Responsibilities:
  • Take care of and monitor prior authorization requests
  • Communicate as needed with patients to obtain insurance information
  • Answering phones, receives all referral and intake information.
  • Complete referral/intake forms and route them appropriately for admission approval.
  • Assist in the scheduling of appropriately skilled person to fill the case, inputs scheduling information on the computer.
  • Check common working files for Medicare Coverage and verification of benefit period.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
  • Successfully collaborates and communicates with coworkers from various departments
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary.
Knowledge & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Insurances Knowledge of coding and clinical operating policies.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, programs, and spreadsheet applications with proficient skills in computer navigation and typing.
  • Ability to understand and interpret policies and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret medical charts.
  • Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications:
  • ICD-10: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Prior Authorization: 1 years (Preferred)
