General:

The HR Employment Specialist is responsible for coordinating and assisting with employment related processes w/ key focus on recruiting, new hire orientation, and employee relations primarily for organization's hourly workforce. The role serves as a resource for effective communications and knowledge transfer related to various company information. This role reports to the HR manager with a primary work schedule of Mon. - Fri, day shift.

Specific Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a resource for effective communications and knowledge transfer related to various HR and company-related information (policies, procedures, benefits, orientation, etc.)
  • Organize and assist w/ recruiting processes with primary focus on operations workforce
  • Work with HR team and external resources to maintain a connection with qualified talent pool
  • Work closely with hiring managers to screen applicants' skill level, and fit for the site
  • Assist and manage employee relations events and maintain confidential information
  • Lead bi-lingual orientations and deliver/ interpret various training & presentation materials
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education:
    • Associate degree in business, human resources, OR equivalent combination of education and experiencein related field
    • Verbal & Written Bi-lingual Communication Skill set - (English / Spanish) - required
  • Experience:
    • 2 years' minimum HR related experience (required)
    • Working knowledge in recruiting processes (screening, offer, on-boarding, etc.)
    • Experience managing employee relations
    • Training and Presentation Experience (preferred / not required)
  • Skills/Abilities/Attributes:
    • Proficient skill level in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, WORD, Outlook)
    • Solid interpersonal and bi-lingual communication skills (written & verbal)
    • Organized w/ strong attention to details and time-management
    • Analytical; good problem-solving and information-gathering skills
    • Able to work in fast-paced environment w/ minimal supervision
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Able to work at computer for prolong periods; up to 10 hrs. / day
    • Sit, stand, walk, bend, lift up to 35 lbs. in an office / manufacturing setting
    • Safely work and focus in open-office environment
