Avint, LLC is seeking a dedicated and motivated Journeyman Network Services Engineer to join our team. **This position is 100% on-siteat Hanscom AFB, MA** Must be a US citizen Active secret clearance 3+ years experience in a network engineering position Thorough knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls Must be able to use/configure/troubleshoot/operate Cisco, Juniper, Brocade and/or HP network devices Responsibilities Support work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats. Desired Qualifications Familiarity with DoD AF policies: TRDs, I-plans, TCTOs, 1067s, etc. Rudimentary knowledge of cyber security Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include Analyzing and recommending network requirements. Recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure. Analyzing network workload. Monitoring network capacity and performance. Diagnosing and resolving network problems. Recommending network backup and recovery procedures. Installing, testing, maintaining, and upgrading network operating systems software; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services. Perform other duties as assigned.
