In addition, performs in-store customer service, overall organizational promotion, and stocking duties.Responsibilities: Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needsSupplies Service Technicians with parts as requiredAssists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displaysVerifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locationsAssists in keeping parts department clean and orderly Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the Parts ManagerAssists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment and vehicles are in good working orderAssists and/or participates in Parts and Service Expo, Customer Clinics and other internal or external training as required by the companyQualificationsExperience, Education, Skills and Knowledge: Basic data entry/keyboarding skillsBasic parts and machinery knowledgeAbility to use the John Deere parts Catalog computer applicationAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.High School diploma or equivalent experience requiredFork lift license preferredPhysical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the job duties, the employee must regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting. Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, and bend as needed. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
