In this exciting position, you will use your unique talents and make an immediate impact as a Deputy Site Manager (DSM) in Wedgefield, SC. The Deputy Site Manager is responsible for assisting the Site Manager in the overall management, operation, and maintenance of the Primary Training Range at Poinsett. The DSM reports to the Site Manager. In accordance with instructions and techniques provided by the Site Manager the DSM prioritizes supervises and monitors all work positions. Locally enforces safety, security, and environmental procedures. Conducts liaison with the customer when directed to by the Site Manager. Coordinate, forecast, and manage work schedules. Recruits, staffs, and allocates personnel locally if directed by the Site Manager. Assist in preparing status reports and support our quality program.
Primary Responsibilities:
Directly supervises all labor functions and provides technical and operational guidance to employees at all levels.
Plans, staffs, organizes, and controls site operations if the Site Manager is absent.
Ensures a high standard of professional excellence is maintained by all employees.
Conducts an overall training program for new hires and upgrades with refresher training for current employees.
Conducts an active safety program that operates in accordance with OSHA and company safety guidelines and policies. Is responsible for workers’ safety in hazardous conditions.
Perform Site Managers priorities for project accomplishment to optimize schedules, budgets and technical excellence.
Allocates resources using established priorities. Plans weekly or monthly work schedules and operations for all sections.
Qualifications:
AA degree preferred.
In lieu of AA degree, five (5) years related experience, or High School Diploma and eight (5) years’ experience.
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working with systems associated with Bombing & Gunnery range operations
Valid Driver’s License
Active Secret Security Clearance
Experience with DoD aircraft training range operations within the last 5 years
Knowledge of Range Control Operations (RCO)
Proficient in the use of MS Office software
Military Radio Telephone Procedures (RTP)
Training/experience
Understanding of maintenance, operational safety, automation, and quality assurance through demonstrated experience or general education.
Working knowledge to accomplish computer data information processing.
Ability to sit for periods of two (2) hours or more.
Ability to lift and carry boxes and packages not to exceed 20lbs.
Physical dexterity to bend/stoop, twist/turn, and kneel/crouch.
Ability to operate a four-wheel drive vehicle, 1 ton.
