There is an opening for a Mechanical Engineer at Ellwood National Forge in Corry, PA, however from time to time maybe assigned to work at the Irvine/Warren plants. The Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:Managing of Capital equipment projects (new and re-builds), configuration, justification, location, installation and start-upTrouble shooting of equipment and in-house processes as requiredDeveloping and assisting with implementation of new and improved manufacturing methodsInterface with and support production to achieve "Best in Class" practicesDevise and implement process improvements and cost reductionAssist maintenance to improve equipment reliability and productivitySetting clear expectations for team members and evaluate needs of teamSolve organizational and production problems.Research, develop, collect and report information on the ability and capacity of company products and competing equipment.Performs other duties as deemed necessary.Minimum Qualifications 4 year degree in Manufacturing Technology or Engineering or related fieldExperience in metal cutting operationsBasic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and TolerancingComputer skills (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Syteline)Ability to work independently (self-directed) on projectsAbility to lead and direct team effortsStrong math skills and problem solving abilityStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with installation and commission of newly purchased equipment and relocation of refurbished/existing equipmentDetail oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple projectsPreferred QualificationsPrior experience with medium and large machine tool builder and /or refurbishing operationsMaintenance backgroundBSME / BSMETEIT CertificationCAM experience ( Mastercam)Equal Opportunity Employer-minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities /sexual orientation/gender identity.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
