Requires two years of experience in the following:1. UNIX or Linux operating system fundamentals2. TCP/IP network fundamentals3. Coding in at least one of the following higher-level programming languages: PHP, Python, or C++4. Software frameworks and APIs5. Internet service architectures (such as load balancing, LAMP, or CDN's)6. Configuring and maintaining applications using at least one of the following: web servers, load balancers, relational databases, storage systems, or messaging systems7. Relational Databases including MySQL8. Network protocols including at least one of the following: NFS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, DNS, or SNMP9. Network Management tools like DHCP, NTP, SSH, DNS, or SNMP10. Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues ranging from low-level hardware issues to large scale failures within datacenter clusters11. Experience utilizing high performance query engines (Presto or Spark) for big data, including construction of new data pipelines12. Service meshes and microservice architectures (Envoy, Istio, or Linkerd)13. Experience with integration testing, including failure injection (Chaos monkey style architectures)14.
