Location: Addison, TX 75001 - Hybrid (2-3 days at home and in office)
Position: IT Engineer
Pay Rate: $48/hr
Duration: 13 weeks
Expected Shift: 1st shift, can be mildly flexible between traditional hours of 8am-5pm
  • VP is the supervisor for these hires and requires flexibility to work as needed after hours or on weekends. Only as needed during unique situations and they can flex time to leave early or start late to balance it out or work OT if approved.
  • Requires proficiency and understanding with VMware, Veem, Citrix, Storage, application performance troubleshooting, secure file transfer solutions, on-site data center operations support (list on resume).
  • Also required is proficiency with Microsoft Cloud Services including Microsoft Arc Windows Patching automation, application vulnerability management.
  • Please make sure candidates have experience with Microsoft O365 administration and Okta deployment, doesn't have to be proficient.
  • Both contracts are 13-weeks, manager wants to offer perm as long as they have good performance. Cannot guarantee conversion after 13-weeks but conversion is the goal.
  • Will provide equipment and they bring it back and forth.
  • Dress code is business casual.
  • Interviews will be via teams.
  • The working hours are first shift, can be mildly flexible between traditional hours of 8am-5pm. Candidates can ask about this during the interview.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position has primary responsibility for designing, managing and supporting Solis's servers, networks, and infrastructure systems while bringing new and innovative technologies and ideas to the business. This person must have a minimum of 3 years plus experience managing VMware, NetApp, and Microsoft environments. This person should be a team player and leader whom actively inspires others to work towards common goals while supporting the personal growth of others as well as themselves. There is regular interaction with staff outside of the IT area, which requires this individual to have the ability to interact effectively with physicians, clinical staff, management, and vendors. Providing coverage for other IT members may be required as necessary.

RESULTS MEASURED BY THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
  • Primary responsibility for designing, managing, and supporting the Microsoft Server environment including Exchange, SQL, AD, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, and SharePoint. As well as other various Windows and Linux servers.
  • Responsible for VMware infrastructure, storage and Microsoft Backoffice environments across multiple locations.
  • Responsible for bringing new and innovative technologies and ideas to the business.
  • Responsible for the documentation and configuration control of systems, with a primary goal of ensuring highly-available systems.
  • Has overall responsibility for ensuring compliance with security standards, patch management, business continuity/disaster recovery, and capacity planning while overseeing or performing daily maintenance and monitoring tasks.
  • Install and configure a wide array of system hardware and software.
  • A systems thinker who is able to see the "big picture" while still maintaining the various components.
  • Provide after-hours and on-call coverage for IT systems as well as serve as a tier 3 escalation on off-call weeks.
Education/Work Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience managing VMware, NetApp, and Microsoft Backoffice environments is required on resume.
  • Applicable professional certifications highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline is highly desirable, manager would like to see candidates with this first.
  • Formal training and/or experience with storage systems (SAN, NAS, etc) is desirable.
