This role will have flexibility in your schedule. You will create your schedule to fit the needs of the business and persons served. This position will begin as a 6-month contract with the possibility of being extended and/or turning into a full-time/permanent position. This role will be in person at our programs.Wage: $50/hourJob DescriptionA Behavior Clinician provides behavior support services to individuals with developmental disabilities. The Behavior Clinician will assess behavioral strengths/needs of individuals served and write behavior support plans. The Behavior Clinician is responsible to train staff on implementation of the plan, assess implementation of the plan, monitor ongoing individual behavioral issues, and coordinate behavioral training/needs assessments. This role will be providing services to our programs in Portage and ValparaisoWhat You Will Do:Behavioral Clinician can observe person served in home, day program, vocational setting, etc.This position may interview staff, conduct group meetings, attend group outings, talk with other vendors, doctor's appointments, etc. to gather needed information to cultivate or modify plans as needed.Behavioral Clinician will be assessing behavioral strengths/needs for our individuals served.Writing Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs) specific to individual needsMaking periodic visits to the individual's home to observe implementation of the plan.Training staff on implementation of the plan and assessing implementation of the plan.Monitoring ongoing individual behavioral issues.Coordinating behavioral training/needs assessments.What You Need To Be Successful In This Role:Outgoing, positive and fun team spirited individualPersonal accountability and responsibility - should be able to create their own schedule, be independent and given the ability to cultivate the role.Unparalleled customer service levels - someone who truly goes above and beyond; and can build relationships with those they partner with.Ability to ask questions; trouble shoot problems and create solutions to problemsAbility to Multi-task and handle stressProvide accurate and detailed billing, reports and time invoices.Ability to communicate and train staff on diagnosis's, plan objectives and goals. Exposure to Mental Health and Development Disabilities a plusAbility to enjoy a different setting, and a different schedule EVERYDAYQualificationsQualificationsTo be approved to provide behavioral support services as a Level 2 clinician, an applicant shall meet the following requirements: Either: have a master's degree in:•Clinical psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology, or another applied health service area of psychology; special education; social work; or counselingOR Be a licensed marriage and family therapist licensed under IC 25-23 Be a licensed clinical social worker under IC 25-23 Be a licensed mental health counselor under IC 25-23ORHave a master's degree in a human services field and be able to demonstrate to the BDDS behavior management committee that the individual has either coursework in or five (5) years of experience in devising, implementing, and monitoring behavior support plans* This position must maintain annually 10 hours of continuing education hours related to the practice of behavioral support.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.2/1
