At WET, you won't merely be developing code that rests on a desk, you'll be collaborating with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts.You will be creating custom PCBs with innovative approaches to tackle problems so unique, you might be the first to attempt them. You'll shepherd your creations from inception through the first power up, and eventually seeing your work fuse technology with art, building masterpieces that will mesmerize and enchant millions.The Chief Electrical Engineer is a functional expert in product development, production, and new material and component identification and creation. The role serves as the leader of all key strategic innovations initiatives and projects related to conceptual design, new material and technology development, prototype to production as well as the tools and systems that support development of product across the brand's portfolio.They control every aspect of product creation from initial sketches to production, and are driving the rapid growth of WET's portfolio.You will:Develop custom firmware in C for various control applicationsEngineer and design hardware (voltage regulators, digital logic, communication transceivers)Rapid prototype and hardware bring upKnowledge of object-oriented programming design patternsExperience structuring C code for manageability and reusabilitySimulation tools such as LTSpiceAbility to direct technicians on the fabrication and testing of PCB's and cable assembliesDrive the company strategy in regards to Product & Device Innovation and DevelopmentTrack and report status of all NPI programs to senior managementProvide leadership, mentorship, and development to all members of PD&E teamSet direction, aligns goals and objectives and inspires an innovative, high performing, and collaborative environmentInvestigates new, innovative sources of production and technological advancementsCollaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to Materials, Manufacturing, Production, Design, Quality, Assembly, and Field ServicesYour have experience with:PCB layout and schematic capture tools, preferably AltiumLow-level debugging tools (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)Writing firmware on bare metal (no operating system) as well as systems utilizing embedded RTOSFamiliarity with scripting languages (Python)Embedded design using resource limited microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M0+)Development of test plans to including verification and validationDevelopment of functional testers and work instructions to support productionUnit testing framework (Ceedling, CUnit, CuTest, AceUnit)Experience with low-level protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, RS-485)Design analog front ends and circuitry to interface with precision instruments/sensorsControl theory design and motor control experienceEMI/RFI shielding, mitigation and filteringYou are:A Champion of innovation Expert performance-based innovation knowledge and exceptional design skillsA builder Develop proof of concept to ensure function, form & manufacturabilityCrystal clear You are able to articulate complicated ideas with very few words.
