The position for Product Engineer will be based in Bartlesville, OK or Houston, TX.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Providing technical services and custom problem-solving support to Phillips 66 Lubricants customers and sales representatives.
  • Providing product analysis, data interpretation and written reports to customers regarding product performance or complaints.
  • Providing "best practice" advice and recommendations to customers and sales representatives regarding product selection, applications, lube/equipment maintenance and optimization.
  • Coordinating and or assisting in major complaint investigations; serve as back-up to field lube engineers.
  • Designing and coordinating field tests programs in support of new product development and/or applications.
  • Developing, acquiring and maintaining product approvals/registrations with key OEM's and approval organizations.
  • Providing technical input and review for the development of technical product literature and training materials, assuring accuracy of product claims and applications.
  • Providing industry perspective and knowledge of customer applications within assigned product/segment areas of responsibility.
  • Conducting sales and technical presentations (internal, marketers, sales force and consumers).
  • Engaging in internal and external communication.
Required Qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • 3 or more years of direct experience in technical, marketing and sales in lubricants with demonstrated knowledge of lubricants applications.
  • 5 or more years of direct experience in presenting to and influencing both internal and external customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years of mechanical experience in rotating equipment or plant equipment.
  • STLE CLS certification or industry experience.
  • Strong communications skills, as well as creative and innovative problem solving skills.
  • Ability to plan and organize to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to use strong interpersonal skills and leadership to influence others toward desired results.
