Northmarq is offering a Marketing and Communications Internship for a student studying communications, marketing, or journalism at their Minneapolis, MN (Bloomington, MN) headquarters office. Prospective candidates should be interested in executing digital marketing, social media, public relations, and copywriting within a fast-paced, growing department for an innovative, market-leading company in commercial real estate.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Support the Brand & Content team through various initiatives and ad hoc projects.
  • Assist in the employee headshot process by scheduling sessions, managing, and organizing headshot libraries, and scouting new local photographers.
  • Aid the social media coordinator in tasks such as analyzing performance metrics, scheduling posts, crafting employee resource guides, researching industry best practices, and more.
  • Contribute to the Northmarq Neighbors community service program by providing assistance and support.
  • Gain hands-on experience across different areas of the marketing department, including digital marketing, communications, public relations, research, graphic design, and other related functions.
What We're Looking For:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, or related field, preferred, with expected graduation date of December 2024 or May 2025.
  • Experience with MS Office products including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience in social media, email marketing tools, and project management tools is a plus.
  • Must be "self-directed" and willing to take initiative and direction.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong time management, priority management skills, and execution
