Job Overview

As the Automation Engineer you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing automation solutions to enhance our manufacturing processes. You will collaborate closely with OEM partners to integrate cutting-edge automation technologies into our production lines, improve efficiency, and drive innovation.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing requirements and identify automation opportunities. Work closely with OEM partners to evaluate, select, and integrate automation equipment and systems tailored to our specific manufacturing needs. Design and develop custom automation solutions in collaboration with OEMs to optimize production processes, increase throughput, and improve product quality. Develop and implement automation strategies to streamline operations, reduce downtime, and minimize production costs. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations of automation solutions to ensure compatibility and scalability. Provide technical expertise and support during the installation, commissioning, and validation of automation systems. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot automation issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner. Develop and maintain documentation, including specifications, user manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for automation systems. Stay abreast of emerging automation technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical. - preferred not required Minimum of 2-4 years' experience as an Automation/Controls Engineer. Must have Robot, PLC and HMI programming, troubleshooting and modification experience Technical expertise & application experience in manufacturing-based applications. Experienced in root cause analysis techniques and failure mode and effect analysis. ERP experience is a plus, preferably design, testing, and implementation related to manufacturing processes Self-motivated worker with the ability to identify priorities and work independently.
