Location: Parsippany, NJ 07054
Duration: Direct Hire
Salary: Dependent on experience and commensurate with current compensation.
Work Schedule: 1st Shift, 8:30 AM 5:30 PM
Job Description:
- A Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through the preparation of a companys reports and statements.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the companys financial accounts, payroll, budget, cash receipts, and financial assets.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Organize and update financial records.
- Oversee Payroll and Vendor Payments
- Support monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial closes, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of operational management accounts.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closures.
- Prepare and file Sales Tax returns.
- Prepare cash flow, financial forecasting, and risk analysis.
- Prepare documentation for external auditors.
- Maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Degree in Accounting. CPA Preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Staff Accountant.
- Experience in filing Sales Tax returns.
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Professional experience in financial forecasting and risk analysis.
- Confidentiality and integrity.
