(Deuteronomy 6:5-7)PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:The Next Gen Pastor will oversee the discipleship of children from birth-12th grade, and partner with parents in their primary role of discipleship.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:A passionate and self-motivated person who loves Family Church and wants to help grow the current Kids Ministry, as well as develop a ministry for middle and high school students.CHARACTER AND COMPETENCIES:Must be a born-again believer and follower of Jesus Christ.Ability to work well with parents, volunteers, church staff, children and youth.Must have effective oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with many different individuals in a professional manner.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle stress well.Demonstrates the ability to recruit and coordinate volunteers.Must possess sound beliefs and doctrine, moral character beyond reproach, and godliness in conduct.Must possess the ability to make decisions, a passion for teaching, as well as a creative and energetic spirit.Competent in leadership abilities to include organization, delegation, administration and interpersonal relationships.At least two years serving in a Kids Ministry or Student Ministry environment or equivalent education/experience. Ministry degree preferred but not required.RESPONSIBILITIES:Kids MinistryPrepare Gospel Project Curriculum for leaders each week.Plan and prepare weekly crafts, activities, and games for classrooms.Create weekly Google Slide show with Gospel Project videos and slides.Create environments, activities, and programming for each age group that will facilitate learning and encourage spiritual growth.Recruit, train, schedule and lead a team of volunteers.Serve once a month in FC Kids.Update family and visitor profiles in PCO.Oversee smooth and professional checkin to ensure safety - ensure a manifest is available in case of emergency. Assist Lead Pastor in equipping a check-in lead within the first 3 months.Assist Lead Pastor in equipping classroom team leaders for each room within the first 3 months.Ensure FC Kids policies and procedures are maintained each week to provide a clean, safe and fun environment for children. Conduct new volunteer background checks through PCO.Student MinistriesBuild a healthy and thriving Student Ministry from the ground upDevelop and implement a comprehensive discipleship strategy with clear and accessiblenext steps that moves students from attender to fully engaged.Prayerfully create a Mission and Vision that aligns with the Mission and Vision of Family Church within the first 3 monthsCreate a weekly strategy to engage students at Family Church within the first 3 monthsRecruit, train and lead a team of volunteersResearch and provide local outreach opportunities for students within the first six monthsResearch and provide camp/retreat opportunities for students within the first yearPrepare weekly programming in the current context of Family Church (Portable Church)Communicate with parents as they disciple their students, providing encouragement and training when necessary.ACCOUNTABILITY:Bi-Weekly Staff Meetings30, 60, 90 day initial reviews with Lead PastorJob Type: Part-timePay: $20.00 per hourExpected hours: 20 per weekSchedule:Choose your own hoursWeekends as neededExperience:working with students: 2 years (Required)Ability to Relocate:Apex, NC 27502: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: Hybrid remote in Apex, NC 27502#J-18808-Ljbffr
