Marine Engineer

Job Description Job Description As a Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of all mechanical and electrical systems onboard the cruise ship . You will work closely with the Captain and other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical systems onboard the cruise ship , including engines, generators, pumps, and other equipment- Troubleshoot and repair any equipment malfunctions in a timely manner- Monitor fuel and oil levels, and ensure proper storage and handling procedures are followed- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed- Train and supervise junior engineers and other crew members in the safe and efficient operation of equipment- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures- Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo as needed- Participate in emergency drills and be prepared to respond to emergencies at any time- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and new technologies related to marine engineeringRequirements:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Engineer on board vessels- STCW certification- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems on board vessels- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills- Strong communication and leadership skills- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing situations- Willingness to work long hours and be on call 24/7- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces#J-18808-Ljbffr
