STRATEGIC STAFFING SOLUTIONS (S3) HAS AN OPENING Title: IT Project Analyst Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid On-Site 3 days per week) Duration: 12 Months Role Type: W2 Contract Engagement Job Summary The IT Project Analyst documents both technical & functional oversight for various IT projects. Develops preliminary project scope reviews, scope definitions, and estimates. This position provides technical and complex problem solving and analytical skills in information technology or related disciplines. This position interfaces with clients, performing organizations subject matter experts, and multiple vendors on tracking and reporting key deliverables. Makes decisions on IT project problems and methods for the department to resolve including occasional supervision of other analysts and supports multiple information technology projects simultaneously. Key Accountabilities • Manage scope of projects to ensure accurate delivery of project deliverables • Documents both technical and functional scope management. • Revises work scope document based on collaboration with technical architect, dis-cipline engineer, and or business analyst. • Identifies IT scope changes when they occur. Initiate and propose scope and design changes • Works with performing organizational teams, including multiple vendors, to ensure requirements align with the scope for the project • Oversees project to ensure requirements traceability exists from requirements to the test cases from multiple sources • Oversees project to ensure proper test coverage is in place for project requirements • Reviews, validates, and verifies metrics are captured (e.g. number of features, requirements, and test • cases); ensures during testing that number of test cases, test cases executed, test cases passed, test cases failed, test cases not run, and defects) are captured for the project and reported on a regular basis • Provides oversight on scope execution and collaborates with delivery teams and third-party vendors to track and report project key deliverables • Ensures the project deliverables are in alignment with company standards and practices. • Makes sound decisions under limited time constraints. • Participates and may lead Process Improvement teams. • Gathers and analyzes complex data in order to recommend improvement programs, techniques, and/or solutions Minimum Education & Experience Requirements This is a multi-track base requirement job; education and experience requirements can be satisfied through the of the following three options: • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of IT-related experience, inclusive of 3 years leading IT-related technical projects in a formal and/or informal capacity; OR • Associate degree and seven (7) years of IT-related experience, inclusive of 5 years leading IT-related technical projects in a formal and/or informal capacity; OR • HS diploma and nine (9) years of IT-related experience, inclusive of seven (7) years leading IT-related technical projects either in a formal or informal capacity Preferred • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, or Engineering • PMP certification • Project methodology certifications (e.g., Agile, etc.) Other Requirements • Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., agile, etc.) • Experience in identifying technical risks, issues, and implementing mitigation plans • Understanding of and ability to independently apply fundamental business and leadership skills including planning, organizing, verbal and written communication, research and analysis, decision making, negotiation, problem solving, ethics and tolerance, interpersonal relationships, personal/professional balance, professional growth • Demonstrated communication skills that translate technical information into practical business concepts • Advanced knowledge and experience with defining scope, requirements, tracking and analyzing metrics for requirement coverage, etc • Responsible for complex scope for cross functional projects meeting established metrics including requirements • Experience in supporting multiple projects simultaneously and track IT key deliverables, develop reports and present using established reporting tools • Experienced in tracking and analyzing metrics for requirement traceability coverage, etc • IT Testing/Quality Assurance Experience to ensure project is delivered with high quality • Knowledge/skills using continuous improvement tools, (i.e After Action Reviews, Process Mapping) The S3 Difference The global mission of S3 is to build trusting relationships and deliver solutions that positively impact our customers, our consultants, and our communities.
