Engineer - Electrical

to provide controls and software designs for systems integrated at FANUC America Midwest in line with the objectives and strategies of FANUC America Midwest and the General Industrial Division (GID). Primary responsibilities will include: Work as part of an execution team and assume complete responsibility for the controls design function of assigned projects Supply controls designs for systems, including system architectures, electrical schematics, panel layouts, and machine interfaces Provide application software for PLCs and HMIs, both in house and onsite for systems Give application program development for FANUC Robots for systems Provide specifications in conjunction with Mechanical Engineering for purchased equipment such as conveyors and end of arm tools Interface daily with project managers and team members to meet system execution requirements Interface with customers and vendors to meet system execution Maintain and track personal workload Assist in technical support during integration of FANUC America Midwest systems Support Sales and Applications Engineering with engineering expertise Provide technical assistance to customers Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent relevant experience Minimum five years industrial controls design experience preferred Wiring and troubleshooting experience PLC and HMI programming experience FANUC robot programming experience preferred Experience with industrial automation and controls architecture and robotics automation preferred Knowledge of National Electrical Codes and industrial controls design practices Proficient in AutoCAD (2000i or later) and industry standard drawing practices Knowledge of ANSI/RIA R15.06/1999 and industrial safety standards Ability to work with internal and external customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions We offer market competitive pay and benefits programs, as well as opportunities for advancement, knowledge and skill development, and recognition of individual achievements.
