The Welder-Fitter assists in the fabrication of steel frames and building components. Ability to MIG weld and fit are a plus. Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To:•scrapers, 7" grinders, welding hood and gouger for tools used•Safely perform skilled welding in the fabrication of steel frames and building components•Maintain proper housekeeping of assigned work area •Must always have a high awareness for safety•Any other duties assigned •Must train on company policies and procedures•Must follow welding procedures Preferred Qualifications & Experience:•Familiar/fluent in MIG processes•Previous experience with plasma torches & oxy acetylene cutting a plus•Welding certifications beneficial but not required Requirements:•Ability to lift 50lbs., bend, squat, kneel and or stand for extended periods of time•Must wear proper safety equipment•Ability to read a tape measure •Knowledge of basic math (add, subtract, multiply & divide fractions)
