A commercial services company in California is looking to add a new Prevailing Wage Analyst to their growing team. In this role, the Prevailing Wage Analyst will be responsible for ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws and regulations related to payroll processing.

Responsibilities:

The Prevailing Wage Analyst will:

  • Manage the payroll processing for projects subject to prevailing wage laws, including accurate calculation of wages, fringe benefits, and overtime rates.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local prevailing wage requirements, including Davis-Bacon Act and state-specific prevailing wage laws.
  • Process payroll for employees subject to prevailing wage requirements, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits.
  • Review and audit timesheets, pay rates, and payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with prevailing wage laws.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prevailing wage data, including employee classifications, wage rates, and fringe benefits.
  • Generate and analyze reports related to prevailing wage compliance, including certified payroll reports, fringe benefit reports, and compliance audits.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials related to prevailing wage processing.
  • Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in Payroll processing
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Specific experience in Prevailing Wage Compliance using Elation and/or LCP Tracker, Labor & Industries Website systems
  • Experience with California Certified Payroll
  • Strong understanding of Federal, State, and Local Prevailing Wage laws and regulations, including Davis-Bacon Act.
  • Experience with Payroll software and systems, preferably Ceridian Dayforce or similar platforms.
  • Moderate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce or similar platforms
