Senior Accountant

Our client, a leading Family office/ PE Firm is adding an Accountant to their team. The ideal candidate will have Hedge Fund or PE experience and expertise with K1's.
As the Accountant, you will be responsible for month-end reporting and reviewing all accounting entries, preparing and analyzing daily cash report, and interacting with management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for all reporting deliverables.
Tax planning and management of K1 process
Accounting and bookkeeping process for many different investments in private equity, hedge funds and direct real estate investments.
Assist with estate planning
Maintain books and records for different investing entities
Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
Responsible for calling capital for numerous entities.
Maintain outstanding commitment schedule to confirm adequate liquidity.
Propose and implement solutions to support cost reduction and reporting enhancement.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable for real estate and investment entities.
Ensure loan payments are timely and covenants are maintained.
Work with banks to obtain statements and clarify open items.
Qualifications
BS in Finance or Accounting
5+ years experience in accounting required.
3+ years experience in investment accounting required.
Ability to work in-office 5-days per week - Fort Lee NJ
Hours are 9-6pm

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;
other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
