Because Friends Care AlwaysRequirements for a Friendly Home RN Skilled Nursing Unit Assistant Manager:Graduation from an approved school of nursing. BSN preferred. At least five years of progressive nursing experience. Current NYS Registration and License.Responsibilities for a Friendly Home RN Skilled Nursing Unit Assistant Manager:Assists in the completion of MDS and care plan development.Assists in the review process to maintain accurate care cards.Provides supervisory oversight on the nursing unit to ensure quality of care through regular daily rounds; audit completion; care card review; monitoring compliance with turning and positioning; coaching and teaching of staff on unit as issues occur; providing family members with Member information; and meal monitoring.May be responsible for providing in servicing for unit nursing staff.Assists with unit medical rounds.Assists with auditing of quality of care and compliance with systems on a specific nursing unit.Assists Nurse Manager with counseling and coaching.Oversees staff compliance with mandatory in services and schedules staff for programs to ensure attendance.May participate in the weekly interdisciplinary care plan meeting.
