Advanced Energy has devoted four decades to perfecting power for its global customers and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado.POSITION SUMMARY: This temporary, second shift position is responsible for programming and operating Surface Mount Technology (SMT) automated electronic manufacturing pick and place equipment to manufacture PC Boards to meet production schedules and performance standards. Performs periodic clean-up and machine maintenance. Hours: Sunday - Thursday - 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM. Position needed for up to 7 months.RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs set-up and programming of automated SMT pick and place machines to manufacture PC Boards to meet production and performance standards Reads and follows assembly prints, schematics, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications Operates reflow oven, screen printer and stencil cleaner Performs touch-up soldering as needed Keeps accurate and up-to-date records Participates in troubleshooting and problem solving Recognizes equipment and product problems and troubleshoots in order to achieve optimum production levels Interfaces with others to communicate issues, troubleshoot failures, and maintain a high standard of quality and repeatability in processes, products, and machinery Other duties as assignedWORK ENVIRONMENT: Primarily works in a manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast paced. Because of the nature of the product being produced, high voltage and current conditions exist, and appropriate precautions must be observed Overtime may be needed in times of increased production Physical Requirements: Standing 50% Walking 10% Sitting 40% Carrying 30lbs Pushing 30lbs Pulling 40lbs QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions Ability to identify components Ability to read blueprints, schematics, work instructions, BOMs, drawings Ability to work independently Familiarity with IPC standards and ESD precautions Ability to recognize problems in the process or with components and resolve problems Ability to work effectively in a team environmentEXPERIENCE: Two years of experience programming and operating SMT automated pick and place equipment preferredEDUCATION: High School Diploma is required Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering is preferredCOMPENSATION: As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $23 to $27 per hour.
