You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. About the role: The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager as applicable) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. Responsibilities include: Determining donor eligibility to donate plasma. Managing donor adverse events and reviewing laboratory test results. Notifying donors of unsuitable test results. Following guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs and providing center level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS). How you will contribute: Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination. Evaluate donor reactions as outlined in the SOPs. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needed. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation needs. Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS. What you bring to Takeda: High school diploma or equivalent, including a recognized educational nursing program. Currently licensed or certified as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
