Responsibilities:

  • Independently provide expert-level tax support for a prominent manufacturing corporation and its subsidiary companies.
  • Prepare and meticulously review book to tax calculations for federal and state income tax returns, overseeing outsourced federal tax return.
  • Manage local income tax return preparation, property tax returns, and fulfill information reporting requests.
  • Conduct thorough tax research on federal, state, and international tax matters to support the corporation and its subsidiaries in tax planning.
  • Execute calculations to support Advance Pricing Agreements and transfer pricing strategies.
  • Lead the filing processes for Form 1099 and Form 1042.
  • Offer guidance and oversight for outsourced federal tax provision utilizing ASC 740 standards.
  • Stay abreast of evolving tax laws and regulations, engaging in ongoing education to ensure compliance.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex tax issues, driving efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork to achieve shared goals.

Qualifications:

  • Preferably possess three to five years of tax experience.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.
  • CPA certification or a Masters degree in Taxation is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with fixed asset accounting systems is desirable.
