Kavaliro's client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Hybrid Network Engineer to join their team in St. Petersburg, FL. This role requires a professional with 4+ years of experience in network engineering, equipped with strong expertise in a variety of internetworking technologies and protocols. The ideal candidate will have a background in higher education and possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage complex network systems ensuring seamless and secure communication.
Configure, troubleshoot, and support VLAN, STP, QOS, and other internetworking technologies.
Manage and optimize routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, Static Routing, and Policy-Routing.
Configure, stack, troubleshoot, and support network switches and routers.
Ensure the security and efficiency of the network by configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting firewalls and network monitoring tools.
Support and maintain enterprise-class wireless access points and utilize packet capture tools for network issue resolution.

Must-Have Skills:
Strong understanding of internetworking technologies including VLAN, STP, and QOS.
Proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting BGP, OSPF, Static Routing, and Policy-Routing.
Expertise in handling network switches and routers.
Experience with firewalls, network monitoring tools, and enterprise wireless access points.
Ability to troubleshoot network issues using packet capture tools.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
Knowledge of Extreme Network switches.
Familiarity with Ruckus Wireless solutions.
Understanding of VPN/VOIP technologies.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
4+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
Experience in the higher education sector is preferred.
